In 1992, I joined The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as an assistant professor in Film & Video and Director of The Community Media Project (CMP). The CMP offeredmedia production workshops for youth and teens within Milwaukee’s core neighborhoods. Students from the Department of film assisted with weekend and after-school workshops where we produced community centric documentary videos that were screened at UW-M, The Wisconsin Black Historical Society and Youth Media festivals and conferences across the nation.
