FOCUS Film Collective, San Francisco. While a graduate student in Film at San Francisco State University, I was a founding member of a collective we called FOCUS. We supported one another’s projects and wrote a grant in common that we secured to support a video anthology featuring our collective work in 1992. A short I made titled, An Oakland Story was produced at that time.

1992-present

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee-Post graduate school, hired to teach film and video in the Department of Film and Video (Peck School of the Arts) and became the Artistic Director of the department’s Legacy Community Media Project (CMP). The CMP suffered budget redistribution and is no longer active-however-the mission of the CMP is alive in emerging film organizations and collectives within the city of Milwaukee (Black Lens, True Skool, No Studios, Doc UWM & Milwaukee Film Alliance & Urban Underground). I have begun to digitize and create an archive of early works made with children and young adults during my leadership of the CMP. Some of these programs can be viewed on Vimeo and soon through the historical archives of the Golda Meir Library at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
